Bristol Motor Speedway, widely known as “The Last Great Colosseum,” is one of the most distinctive and celebrated venues in NASCAR. The spring event, usually held in March or April, has recently featured the well-known dirt race, when the concrete surface is temporarily covered with clay to create a completely different style of short-track racing. Later in the year comes the famous Food City 500, a Saturday night race under the lights that stands among the most iconic events in the NASCAR Cup Series. Both weekends typically include races from the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and the ARCA Menards Series, ensuring a packed programme of racing action.

Away from the track itself, the speedway offers a wide range of entertainment for fans throughout the weekend. The Fan Zone features live music, driver appearances, interactive displays, and numerous food and merchandise stands. Pre-race festivities often include major concerts and the traditional driver introductions on a stage located near the start-finish line, giving spectators a close view of the sport’s stars before the race begins.

For many NASCAR supporters, a trip to Bristol is a must-do experience.
